The Lincoln County School System recognizes its obligation to provide programs to prepare students for meaningful educational experiences. Recently, the system completed a 16 million-dollar building program, allowing schools to be
re-aligned into the system's current configuration.
Lincoln County operates six Pre-K through grade 8 schools, a Ninth Grade Academy, and Lincoln County High School, a comprehensive high school that serves all of the county's 10th-12th grade students. Each county school has completed requirements for
full SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools) accreditation.
The educators in this system share the philosophy that each school should reflect community attitudes, which are fundamental to our American heritage. These include tolerance of others, respect for authority, and a sense of respons
ibility.
Lincoln County Schools are designed to help students develop strong academic skills that will allow them to choose and prepare for a productive life. Each educator strives to help create well-rounded, well-informed young men and
women who can develop into beneficial members of society.
