We believe all students can reach their highest academic potential when provided with a positive environment at school and home in which to explore and develop their knowledge in a meaningful context. We know that learning can take place if there is a combination of effort, interest, and motivation on the part of the school, the home, and the community.
This
compact is a voluntary agreement and a promise of commitment to help your child
progress in school, promoting his/her achievement. We believe this agreement can be fulfilled
through our team effort.
AS A STUDENT I AGREE TO:
1. Come to school ready to
learn and work hard.
2. Bring necessary materials,
completed assignments and homework.
3. Know and follow school and
class rules.
4. Respect the school,
classmates, staff and families.
AS A PARENT I AGREE TO:
1.
Provide a quiet time and place for homework.
2.
Ensure that my child attends school every day, gets adequate sleep,
regular medical attention and proper nutrition.
3.
Regularly monitor my child’s progress in school and make every effort
to attend school functions, support school activities, attend parent-teacher
conferences and volunteer when I can.
4.
Communicate the importance of education and learning to my child.
5.
Respect the school, staff, students, and families.
AS A TEACHER I AGREE TO:
1.
Teach classes through interesting and challenging lessons that promote
student achievement.
2.
Endeavor to motivate my students to learn.
3.
Have high expectations and help every child to develop a love of
learning.
4.
Communicate regularly with families about student progress.
5. Respect the school,
students, staff and families.
6. Establish flexible scheduling
and create a warm atmosphere for parents/guardians during classroom visits and
participation in the activities.
