Kevin Rose: New Football Coach for the Falcons

Kevin Rose has been named the new head football coach at Lincoln County High School.  Kevin grew up in Muscle Shoals where he was the starting quarterback and free safety at Muscle Shoals High.  He also played on the schools baseball team. Rose suffered a knee injury during his senior season which prevented him from playing college football have being recruited by several schools.   
 
Rose earned a baseball scholarship and played for two junior college baseball teams before transferring to the University of North Alabama where he completed his degree in education and later earning a M.Ed in History.  
 
Rose began his coaching career at Handley High School in Roanoke, Alabama.  In 1994, he moved to Deshler High School where he served as the offensive coordinator for Class 4A state championship team.  Coach Rose first head coaching assignment was at Sheffield High School.  He served as the head football coach and athletic director for seven seasons before going to Hoover High School as an offensive coordinator.
 
Rose took a position on the staff at Bob Jones High School in 2008 as the offensive coordinator until he was named the head coach the following year.

● Compiled an overall career record of 133-71 as a head football coach
● 6A Region 8 / 7A Region 4 Coach of the Year 7 consecutive years as Bob Jones High School Head Coach 2009-2015
● Huntsville Times Coach of the Year 2009
● 7 Consecutive 6A / 7A region titles 2009-2015
● Garnered the first #1 (2014 & 2015) ASWA state rankings in Bob Jones High School history
● Guest speaker at Nike Football Coaches’ Clinic – Spread & Wing-T Offenses
● Two State Championships as Offensive Coordinator – Deshler High School 1998 and 1999
● Times Daily Coach of the Year – Sheffield High School 2001 (12-1)
