COVID 19 Update

3/26/20


  1. Closure extended 3 additional weeks through April 24th

  1. First Week of Feeding
    1. Thank you to all who participated- participation was overwhelming
    2. Thursdays totals up 125 students since Monday
    3. Week one totals-  this week LCS has served 12,080 meals to our students

  1. Instructional Planning
    1. www.lcdoe.org and click link for “Learning Resources for Home Instruction”
    2. Nearly 350 students have picked up for printed copies also available next monday, others are using the sites found on the link
    3. These materials are for students and parents to assist in the students to not experience a “learning slide” during the extended closure.
    4. Since the closure has been extended beyond April 24th, we will have teachers collaborating and developing additional resources for you to use for April 6th- April 24th
    5. If you do nothing else, read to and with your child- read, read, read!
    6. These assignments are provided as resources to our families

  1. Prom and Graduation
    1. Looking to reschedule prom if at all possible
    2. Graduation- praying we are back, but if not we will be planning something unique and possibly a summer activity

  1. Closing notes
  1. Nobody signed up for this- students/teachers/parents/etc
