Lincoln County High School dedicated its updated culinary classroom in memory of John Smith. Mr. Smith, along with Franke, partnered with LCHS this summer to completely renovate the culinary classroom. Franke absorbed the cost and provided the labor for the redesign and installation of new equipment and countertop surfaces. The outdated cabinetry and wooden counter surfaces were replaced with top of the line stainless steel. Mr. Smith believed in giving back to the community and the schools in order to better students. According to his family, he was a very humble man that wouldn’t have wanted public recognition, but the students and staff of LCHS wanted to thank him and honor his memory and legacy by dedicating the culinary lab in his honor. Special thanks to the family of John Smith for attending the dedication.
