Applying for Free & Reduced Meals

Electronic Free and Reduced Meal Applications may be accessed through your Family Portal in Skyward.  Information on accessing Family Portal will be provided by your child's school when it is available.
Free & reduced priced meals are based on household income

Reduced price meals ($0.30 breakfast and $ 0.40 lunch) - per meal

To apply for free or reduced meal prices, you must fill out an application. If you have previously qualified, you must reapply for your children’s meal benefits each school year. Even though your household may receive more than one application, we ask that you fill out and return to us only one application per household, listing all your students in school on the same application, including students who will be entering school for the first time in Kindergarten or Pre-K. If you qualified at the end of last year, your child(ren) can eat in the school cafeteria based on last year’s status while your application for this year is being processed. If you do not have an application from last year on file with our school system, you will be responsible for paying full price for meals until you return a completed application to us and we get it processed. If you are new to this school system, and you received free or reduced meal benefits previously, please fill in the name of your previous school system on the application in the space provided. If anyone in your household receives Food Stamps, please give us your case number. We cannot accept your EBT card number. When applications are processed, new statuses become effective within 24 hours, and you will receive written notification with your student’s status for this year in 7-10 days. Please turn in applications by August 31, 2020. Federal Regulations allow 10 days from the receipt of the application for processing.

If you have not submitted your new application by September 14, 2020, we will assume that you do not want to re-apply for this school year. We will change your child(ren) to paid status, and you will need to begin to pay full price for meals at school on September 15, 2020.
