Nutrition SHI Assessment 2017-2018
The Lincoln County Schools Healthy School Teams completed the Nutrition Services SHI for the 2017-18 school year. The schools use the index to identify and prioritize needs that will improve policies and programs. The needs identified by each school have been addressed at the school level. If there are questions or concerns, please contact your child's school.
The strengths and needs are identified as follows:
Blanche School:
Strengths: Breakfast and Lunch available to all students
Variety of food offered
Provide enough time to eat
Clean and Safe cafeteria
Needs: Collaborate with teachers to incorporate nutrition ed. into the classroom

Flintville School:
Strengths: Breakfast and Lunch available to all students
Variety of foods offered

Clean, Pleasant, Safe cafeteria
Promote healthy food and beverage choices
Needs: Collaboration between nutrition services staff and teachers for nutrition ed.

Highland Rim School:
Strengths: Breakfast and Lunch available to all students
Variety of foods available
School meals low in fat and skim milk available
Adequate time to eat
Safe and clean cafeteria
Needs: Few sites outside of cafeteria offer low fat items
Preparedness for Food emergencies
Lincoln County High School:
Strengths: Breakfast and Lunch available to all students
Variety of fruits and vegetables offered
Promotes healthy food and beverage choices
