Ms. Linda Tallman has lived and worked in Fayetteville and Lincoln County her entire life. She attended Fayetteville City Schools in grades 1-9, and then Lincoln County Central High School in grades 10-12. She graduated in 1972 and attended Middle Tennessee State University where she received a Bachelor’s of Science in 1977. She then received a Master’s in Education degree from Tennessee State University in 1999. Ms. Tallman has 34 years of experience and has worked with students in grades 1 through 12. She has taught in both regular and special education classrooms. However, the majority of her classroom experience was in 7th- 9th grade physical education at Central Junior High School.

When Lincoln County changed to K-8 elementary buildings, Ms. Tallman began working with students at-risk of dropping out at Lincoln County High School and the Ninth Grade Academy. In December of 2008, she transferred to the Supervisor of Personnel and Attendance position with the Lincoln County Department of Education. She has continued to enjoy working with students, parents, faculty, staff and the community through her current position.
Ms. Tallman enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her parents, son, daughter, daughter-in-law, and especially her three grandchildren!!

The Supervisor of Personnel collaborates with other supervisors, principals, assistant principals, and athletic directors to recruit certified and retain highly effective employees. The supervisor of attendance and discipline collaborates with principals, assistant principals, attendance clerks, Family Resource Center, school resource officers, and Juvenile Court to ensure student attendance and discipline laws are enforced at the school level. The athletic supervisor works with principals, athletic directors and coaches to ensure continued growth and sportsmanship in all sports in Lincoln County Schools.
Ms. Tallman enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her parents, son, daughter, daughter-in-law, and especially her three grandchildren!!
