Jones Assumes New Role as Psychologist

Lincoln County Schools is pleased to welcome Dr. Bridgette Jones back to the Central Office as the School Psychologist for the District.  Her recent tenure as principal at Unity School demonstrated her talent for fostering meaningful connections with students and staff alike.  These are skills that will directly benefit students across our district moving forward.  

Dr. Jones brings more than two decades of educational expertise to this role. She began her career as a School Psychologist with Lincoln County Schools in 2000, then advanced through roles as Supervisor of Special Education and Special Education Coordinator. Her experience spans multiple districts and organizations, including positions with Fayetteville City Schools as Supervisor of Special Education, Federal Programs, CTE, and Pre-K, and five years as principal at Ralph Askins School. She also served as a Compliance Consultant with the Tennessee Department of Education's South Central CORE Office, supporting 16 school districts in special education and federal programs.

Dr. Jones holds Bachelor's Degrees in Psychology and Human Services Management from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (1998), a Master's Degree in School Psychology from UTC (2000), an Ed.S. (2002), and an Ed.D. in Educational Administration and Supervision from Tennessee State University (2006).

Outside of work, Bridgette enjoys spending time with her family. Her husband, Eric, is the Director of Schools with the Fayetteville City School System.  Together they have three children: Walt, a junior at LCHS; Jillian, an 8th grader at FMS; and Eve, a 5th grader at Ralph Askins School.

Dr. Jones looks forward to being back at the central office and having the opportunity to serve all the schools in the district!
